TasFaire is coming to Ross Village,

Our first ever TasFaire was a huge success, and it's thanks to all of you for attending, shopping, vending and sharing word of mouth about the event!
With the outpouring of support, we are thrilled to be bring TasFaire to Ross once again; this time as a two day event.
What is TasFaire?
Step into a world of knights, wizards, and magical creatures when you visit TasFaire, a fantasy-themed Renaissance festival in the idyllic Ross Village.
We're aiming to create a fantastical atmosphere that transports festival goers into another world; and encourage all of our guests to dress up as their favourite character from fantasy media, historical wear, or even your very own D&D OCs.All are welcome at TasFaire– and we invite guests of all ages to attend, whether you visit the marketplace where vendors sell magical trinkets and fantasy themed goods, or you join us on the village green for demonstrations, games, and activities.TasFaire aims to be a collaborative festival with other groups and societies, so if you have an interest in getting involved, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Vending at TasFaire
Thank you for expressing interest in being a part of our next TasFaire! Below is a copy of our Vendor Terms and Conditions, you can also read them on taspop.org.au/#vendors (black text on white background).TasPop events focus on creative, unique and quality offerings. In protection of our artistic community we have a strong no-AI policy and take measures against bootleg and dropshipped items.

TasPop Vendor Terms & Conditions
Upon Payment of the rendered invoice, All Vendors, Exhibitors, Businesses or members of the public Tabling at a TasPop event will be held to the below Terms & Conditions.
Violation of these Terms and conditions may affect future applications at Markets, Festivals & Events including but not limited to Geek Markets, TasPop South, TasPop North & TasFaire or events in collaboration with TasPop.Violations deemed fixable at the TasPop Committee’s discretion may be brought forward verbally in person from a member of the executive team, or in writing to the Vendors nominated contact in an attempt to reconcile the issue.Violation of Terms and conditions that is not considered fixable at the TasPop Committees discretion may cause the Vendor to be Blacklisted, Banned or ejected from the event.
TasPop may disclose Ban reports and/or Blacklists to any legal entities where required, including to other Conventions, Festivals or events in collaboration with TasPop.
A Vendor is permitted to, at any time contact, TasPop and request a copy of any documentation on file in regards to their participation in our events including Blacklist reports or documentation of past infractions.
Agreement to the below during the application process does not Guarantee tables at an event.A Vendor or Exhibitor is defined by any Business, hobbyist, society, company or member of the public that purchases or receives a complimentary table at any TasPop event, regardless of the products, services or purposes of their attendance.
Behavior & Invoicing
1. Successful Vendors will be sent an official acceptance letter, as well as an invoice to the email provided, payment of this invoice will serve as an agreement of these Terms and Conditions, a copy of the Terms and Conditions will be linked to your invoice.
1a. The due date will be provided to you in the acceptance email. Payment of at least 50% needs to be made by this date, The remaining balance will need to be paid prior to set up on the day unless other agreements have been made.
1b. If the Vendor experiences financial hardship and cannot pay by the deadline, alternative options can be made with the Vendors co-ord with permission of the TasPop Board.
1c. Failure, or repeat failure to pay an invoice by the due date with contact from the Vendor may be Blacklisted from TasPop events for a minimum of 12 months, After the 12 months is up the Vendor may have special restrictions placed on them.
2. Any cancellations made within 7 days of an event will be ineligible for a refund. Exceptions may be made for extreme circumstances, at TasPop’s discretion, Vendors are urged to contact TasPop as soon as reasonably possible if they are unable to make it to an event.
3. All Vendors are to act in the interest of TasPop and their events and therefore take no action that will detract from or draw attendees away from the venue.
3a. Photography of a Vendor's own table/s is permitted, however if other Vendors, Committee, Volunteers or attendees are in frame and identifiable, permission must be obtained before publishing the photo to social media and/or other online websites, unless the 3rd party is blurred or cropped out of the photo.
3b. Video/audio recording and/or live streaming by a Vendor of the event space, including their table, other Vendor tables, attendees, committee and behind the scenes spaces may be permitted under strict circumstances.
i. Vendors can only video/audio record and/or live stream their own table/s.
ii. If a Vendor is recording their own table/s, clear signage needs to be on display at their table/s stating that the Vendor is recording, including a notice if audio is included in the recording. This sign must be clearly visible, have 25mm text at the minimum and have readable font and colours (i.e. black text on white paper).
iv. The recording of common areas of an event, including walkways, other Vendors tables, events and/or panels is permitted with consent from the parties involved.
The recording of non-public areas, including the Greenroom, Committee or venue only areas, as well as bathrooms and changerooms are not permitted under any circumstances.
4. Tables will be allocated in the order that they are sold, while TasPop will attempt to accommodate all Vendors we are unable to guarantee any specific space or layout required, Vendors who have medical requirements, or disabilities will be prioritised where possible, TasPop may not be able to issue refunds for Vendors who do not disclose disability requirements in their application form.
Products & Vendors
1. Any items being sold by a Vendor that have been tampered with or had their security seal/warranty seal broken MUST be made clear to potential buyers before the purchase is finalised.
1a. i.e. Special/hologram cards removed from TCG packs (including repackaged packs), only 2 figures from a 3 figure set, pre opened blind-boxes etc.
1b. If TasPop receives numerous complaints regarding the mislabelling or misleading sale of ‘official’ items, a Vendor may be Blacklisted or restricted from future events.
2. Items or artworks considered to be explicit or containing ‘Not Safe For Work’ (NSFW) content including nudity, sexual content, and/or excessive gore/violence, may be sold at TasPop Events. However, these items cannot be publicly displayed during the event. These items must be kept in a closed container or display book out of plain view of general attendees until requested by a potential buyer for viewing.
2a. Mild NSFW content may be displayed with appropriate censoring, this includes all gendered nipples/genitalia, any items deemed too explicit for sale must be taken down at the request of the TasPop Committee.
2b. Signage advertising NSFW products can be erected within a Vendors space, and cannot itself contain descriptive/images considered NSFW.
2c. At all events (unless specified to be 18+) Carding of buyers before purchases are the responsibility of Vendors, and TasPop will not be held accountable for sale of this content to underage buyers.
3. All Vendors must ensure that their displays do not obstruct the flow of traffic around or through their table, Displays must be removed or relocated upon request by TasPop or the venue staff. Equipment such as display boards or clothing racks may be brought in by the Vendor only where the application form allows (This space may be listed as ‘Additional Space’ or ‘Free Space’)
3a. Additional equipment, tables, clothing racks etc must not extend into the space behind or between tables that could impact the accessibility of Vendors around them, even with permission of the other Vendor as this equipment could become a hazard in case of an emergency.
3b. Vendors are to not encourage attendees to enter the space behind Vendor tables, as stock/product boxes, personal items, cash boxes etc belonging to Vendors could become at risk of theft, injury or become damaged.
In the instance a Vendor offers services that would require ‘seating’ space for a client/attendee we ask that you let us know in advance so appropriate measures are taken.
4. The display and sale of any prohibited and/or restricted material must comply with the relevant Tasmanian legislation, and in extreme circumstances authorities may be contacted.The following items are not permitted within the venue for either display or sale purposes:
4a. As per Australian law, TasPop does not condone or allow the sale of Provocative or NSFW work of characters deemed below the age of 18 regardless of the 'Canon' Age (i.e. Characters who appear under 18 years old but are considered 100+ years old in their lore) This is including but not limited to ‘Loli’ material.
4b. Bootleg items or material violating copyright laws is not permitted.
(Fan Art* is allowed at TasPop events, see below for TasPop’s definition).
4c. Items deemed weapons under Tasmanian legislation.
4d. Substances and Devices illegal under either Tasmanian or Commonwealth legislation.
4e. Food or beverages of any kind, unless pre approved by TasPop, Any Vendors selling Food or Beverages need to supply the appropriate licenses in advance.
5. Any Vendor in possession of the above (4a-e) items may be asked to have them removed from the premises, failure to do so within a reasonable time frame may see the Vendor ejected and banned from future TasPop events.
Any items that violate the above (4a-e Items) may be reported to the authorities, including information the Vendor supplied during this application process.
6. AI generated ‘art’ & dropshipped products are not permitted at any TasPop event without exception. Including if a Vendor sells legitimate products alongside items that are considered AI generated or dropshipped. (i.e. Selling handmade jewellery, but also selling Temu Charms on necklaces/earrings, or using fabric printed or sublimated with AI designs in their work.)
TasPop is run, supported and founded by numerous Artists, crafters and creatives from within the Tasmanian and Australian community, and as such has and will continue to hold a strict policy against AI and dropshipped products. Our exact definition of AI and dropshipped products is regularly being updated as the technology and trends change.
*Dropshipped products is defined by TasPop as the following:
Products, materials or items sourced from 3rd party suppliers without artwork or design supplied by the seller, sold as is, with repackaging or with non-transformative methods.
i.e. Selling Pins bought in bulk from sites like Temu is not permitted.
i.e. Pins designed by the Vendor and purchased from an overseas manufacturer are permitted.
Repackaging is defined as products that are purchased and put into new packaging in order to appear artist or crafter made.
This includes;
Purchasing bulk purchased items such as dice or dice sets to sell in new packaging at a markup.
Purchasing bulk sets of items to separate and sell individually.
Non-Transformative Products are defined as bulk purchased products that are made into another product with perceived minimal effort.
This includes;
Purchasing charms that are added onto earring bases or necklaces.
Sublimated, screenprinted, or heat transferring t-shirts, mugs or other apparel with generic phrases or imagery (including bulk purchased files from Etsy).
Any Vendor found selling items outlined in the above items may be blacklisted from Markets & Festivals, regardless of if the Vendor also sells legitimate products .
7. Licensed resellers or licensed creative products are permitted to be sold at TasPop events, This includes licensed 3D Printing and Laser cutting files, However clear readable signs must be erected with proper credit to the original artist or creator. Vendors who fail to provide clear credit or credit not to the original creator may find themselves Blacklisted.
7a. TasPop will prioritise Artists and Creatives selling their own work. While we do allow ‘licensed resellers’ at our markets and events we may prioritise Vendors who create their own Files.
7b. Sellers found selling items that have non-commercial licenses, or items banned in Australia (Such as 3D printed firearms) may be blacklisted, with reports sent either to the original creator or relevant authorities.
8. Vendors failing to supply clear portfolio photos, including product photos that could be deemed as misrepresenting the items they sell in order to secure a spot at a TasPop may be refused entry to the venue or asked to leave and Blacklisted from future events.
8a. This includes if vendors have been found using photos taken from the internet, images that have been edited, appear blurred, or photos taken from a distance that may hide products may also be considered as misrepresenting in an application.
8b. In addition to a Vendor's supplied photos the Vendor accepts and understands that their social media provided to TasPop in the application process will also be reviewed as part of the application process. (Where no Social media links are provided TasPop will make a reasonable attempt to locate these using the provided details) Applications without any links to social media will not be outwardly refused from TasPop events, but additional caution may be implemented during the reviewing process.
9. Vendors are to make no attempt to mislead or misrepresent their products or services to TasPop or to potential customers, including rendered services during or after the event.
i.e. Selling a product as official when it is handmade/Artist made (including repaints).
i.e. Selling items as allergen safe (misrepresenting jewelly metals made of titanium as surgical steel).
10. Vendors ejected or removed by TasPop staff, security or law enforcement from any venue due to violating the above agreements will not be issued a refund under any circumstances.
*Fan Art is defined by TasPop as the following:
Fan art refers to a creation by an artist with inspiration from the official original content, but is not claiming to be officially endorsed by the rights holder or could be mistaken for the original content, (the product depicted in the Artist’s own personal style) TasPop does not allow the use of licensed logos or other trademarked materials in these creations, including in packaging materials.Recolouring, photobashing, partial usage, tracing, editing or AI editing of official art, photos, products, screenshots/screen recordings or stills is not considered Fan Art and cannot be sold at TasPop Events.Any items created via social media trends referred to as a ‘Redraws’ is permitted but must be disclosed to potential buyers.Vendors found to be selling traced, stolen, AI generated art or any art violating the above requirements may not be accepted into future events without warning.
Setup & Safety
1. A forklift and/or palette jack will not be available.
2. Any damage caused by the Vendor or their Staff/Helpers, or by items affixed to the venue doors, glass, floors, or walls that will create a removal, cleaning and/or resurfacing cost will be charged to the Vendor.
3. All portable equipment, appliances, chargers, or lighting used at the venue (i.e. anything that is plugged in to the venue power supply) must be tested and tagged in accordance with state Workplace Health and Safety Regulations and Australian Standard 3760-2000. All power extension leads and power boards must also hold current tagging.
3a. The use of double adaptors is prohibited.
3a. TasPop cannot guarantee access to a powerpoint at any Venue, if a power outlet is required for your setup please let us know in advance.
To the maximum extent permitted, TasPop does not accept (and will not have) any liability to the Exhibitor for costs, losses or damages which might be suffered by the Vendor or by any other person through participation in the Event and hereby releases TasPop from and against all claims, demands, actions, damages, costs, charges and expenses or other liabilities whatsoever that may be made, brought against, suffered, sustained or incurred by the Vendor arising out of or in connection with the Vendors' participation in the Market in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, including under circumstances in which the Vendor’s participation is halted or if the Vendor is ejected or banned from the event.
